Hilton HHonors members now enjoy free basic Wi-Fi on all stays booked through the Hilton channels! However, you will not enjoy this benefit when stays are booked through a third-party service (e.g. Expedia, Priceline, Orbitz, etc.).
And Hilton HHonors Elite status benefits will not be recognized if the stay is booked through a third party. In the past, Hilton had never explicitly excluded third-party bookings (e.g. Expedia, Priceline, Orbitz, etc.) and often recognized elite status regardless of the booking method.
And remember, Hilton has a Best Rate Guarantee. We suggest you review the terms and conditions of the guarantee so you clearly understand the scenarios that qualify. And consider your priorities carefully before booking your next Hilton stay through a third party!
By the way, if you’re also a Hyatt Gold Passport Member, Hyatt is now the only major hotel program that does explicitly offer Elite status benefits when stays are booked through third parties. Starwood Preferred Guest and now Hilton explicitly exclude them.
